Food Source Multi Vitamin: Reality or Fraud?

fosomuvireor
We recently received an inquiry from a customer who said that he was looking for a multivitamin that “has all natural Vitamin A, B, C, D and E”. That brings up the question: “Is a 100% all-natural food source multivitamin a reality or a fraud?”

We went to one of Tishcon’s senior scientists for the answer and received the following reply:

“Vitamins A, D, E, carotenoids including beta carotene, Lutein, Lycopene, and Coenzyme Q10 are available in their natural form from natural sources.

Vitamin C is also available from natural sources, but in a very diluted form. Vitamin B2 and B12 are similarly available as natural compounds.

Vitamins B1, B3, B5 and B6 are not available in commercial quantities from natural sources. If some one tells you they are – they are lying to you. You can get trace amounts from yeast, rice bran etc. but not meaningful amounts.

Bottom line: the Food Source multivitamin claims are highly suspect.”
